Autism

Autism is a disorder of neural development. The main charactaristics of autism are: impaired social interaction and communication and repetitive behaviour. Autism has a strong genetic link, and there are three different spectrums of autism. Autism, Aspergers Syndrome and Pervasive Development Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS).

Impaired Immune System
It has been shown that autistic children have a low functioning immune systems, which means they are more prone to food allergies / intolerances and get colds more easily. Autistic children have digestive problems more frequently than normal children. This is most likely caused by an impaired immune system.

Nutritional Advice
A well balanced diet is very important for people with autism. This will lead to a stronger immune and digestive system.
