FAQ - General

How to book a consultation?

For more information or an appointment, you can fill out the contact form or call me directly on: +31 (0)627 220151. When you have booked the consultation, I will send you a BeauNu health questionnaire, which you need to fill out. This needs to be returned two days prior to the appointment.

What if you need to cancel an appointment?

When you need to cancel your appointment, you please let me know 48 hours in advance. Due to a very busy schedule, when cancellations are made in less than 48 hours, I will need to charge the full amount of your consultation (this only applies to the the Nutrition Consultation). So please reschedule / cancel your appointment on time.

What happens during consultation?

The first consultation will take 90 minutes, and we will go through your medical history, your food intake/diet and your lifestyle. I will discuss what your objectives are. I will explain to you what the underlying causes of your symptoms are. At times it might it be necessary to recommend laboratory tests, to get to the core of your problems. It is highly recommended that I see you three weeks after the first consultation.

How many follow-up appointments will you need?

A follow-up appointment is usually due after three to four weeks. No two people are the alike; some of my clients only need three to four consultations, while others will be in treatment for a longer period of time. The number of follow-up appointment depends on the individual's health symptoms and of course, the goals of the client.

How much is a consultation and how long does it take?

The first consultation takes one and half hours (90min) and costs € 210-,. The duration of the follow-up appointments depend on your goals, they vary from half an hour (30min) to one hour (60min). For the rates of the follow-up appointments, please see price-list.

Are there extra costs involved in addition to the consultation?

Yes all laboratory tests, supplements and herbal medicine are not included in the consultation. For consultations at your home, I do charge the mileage to your home, which is approx € 0.19 per km.

Why are laboratory tests used?

Laboratory tests give a deeper insight as to what is going on in your body. For example when you feel bloated, this can be caused by bacteria in the intestinal flora, but when I know which ones are the problem, I can bring your body back, much faster into balance. Laboratory test are also good for people who suffer from allergies, hormonal imbalance, chronic fatigue syndrome, overweight or are underweight. The tests cost extra, but the results to a better health, will be achieved much faster. I use various laboratories in Europe and in the United States.

Are supplements and herbal medicine really beneficial for my health?

Supplements and herbal medicines are by no means a substitute for healthy eating. However, sometimes, even with a good organic diet, it can be difficult for the body to obtain all the nutrients from food. As most of the foods simply lack nutrients, as the soil now a days is so depleted and lots of foods are sprayed with pesticides or contain too much antibiotics and hormones (this is regarding meat). Therefore, to get back your health, supplements and herbal medicine are often needed. In my clinic I use and recommend, only the best brands, so that they are well absorbed into the body. I do only recommend them if I think it is absolutely necessary.
